What does the word PROMISE evoke in you? Is it a word that brings Hope or a word that carries disappointment? Is a word that brings out a desire to offer Hope by your actions? Does it cause you to stop and consider what is the Promise you would like to see fulfilled? Does it spark a desire to see a Promise that includes all people and not just yourself?

AdventWord.org has offered a daily word throughout Advent for several years now. Today the word is Promise and many congregations light the Candle of Hope, as the days of preparation for Christmas begin today. In the Communion Moment above, I invite you to join me in contemplating and celebrating the Gift if Christ which offers Hope, Promise, and Love. I hope you will take part.
