We are created to help and to be helped. We are stronger when we work together. Jesus tells his disciples that he will send the Holy Spirit as a Helper to them when he is no longer with them in the flesh. The same word, Helper, is used in Genesis as Adamah is created from the rib of Adam.
Helpers are not less than. Women are not less than. We are all equal in our Loving Creator’s eyes.
Spiritual Practice:
Take notice of each person who helps you today, from the farmer, grocer, seamstress, water department, delivery staff, to those who work and/or live with you. Say a prayer of thanksgiving and blessing for each one.
